When I wrote The Complete Animation Course book back in 2003 it was my intention to support the book with a website. I did start out with good intentions and created completeanimation.com, but without support from the book's publishers, it became increasingly difficult to keep adding content, especially as the publisher kept giving me new books to write. Five years have passed and the site was pretty much neglected and costing me money to maintain, so I finally took the decision to take it offline.
If you have been redirected here from completeanimation.com, welcome. You won't find a lot about animation here as my writing life has taken me into new, although not completely diverse, fields. I am still involved in the world of moving images but as a journalist, designer and photographer, writing for film magazines, primarily covering independent film and film festivals.
This site links you to the projects I am working on (shown above), as well as serving as a showcase for my photography and a blog covering my other passions of cooking and travelling, along with my views of the world around us. No guarantees on how often it will be updated, but if the muse takes me, or there are deadlines to avoid, then I am sure to post something. Who knows, I may even find time to write a new book or two.
